In 2017, our organization launched the Community Diversity Enrichment Program (CDEP), which targets communities that struggle with social and economic injustices by providing a nurturing environment in which families and youth can engage in self-enrichment activities that stimulate personal growth and self-reliance. This nonsectarian community outreach program targets low income young adults who live in various communities around the world, by providing them with the training, skills, and resources needed to become productive and self-sufficient.
Our most recent programs will launch this Fall in the City of Atlantic Beach. We were fortunate to have received a grant from the Beaches Community Foundation and financial support from OMI Partners. These funds will be used to help expand our Olympic level taekwondo classes, and launch our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) and specialty job training classes.
We have plans to expand our STEAM classes to other parts of Jacksonville Florida, and Southern Mexico. We will keep everyone updated on our progress.
