As previously reported, Pastor Policarpo and Marcelino traveled 16 hours to deliver food and supplies to the people living in the mountainous region of Sabanilla, Chiapas. He reports that trying to get there was very dangerous because many of the bridges had collapsed, and the roads were washed out by rivers.
Upon his arrival, the devastation was far worse than expected. He reported seeing people living out in the open with no shelter because their homes had been destroyed, and families without any food to eat. The good news is that Pastor Policarpo was able to distribute 100 bags of food and supplies to those living in that region, and he was also able to share the Gospel and pray with many of them.
To date, O.M.I. International was the only agency bringing relief to this area. We hope our efforts will motivate Mexico’s Federal and State officials to step in and help the people of Sabanilla. Please pray for the people of Sabanilla and our ministry team.
